ShotCut MVP Design
ShotCut: Studio & Stage
Background
Inspiration - Two clients from two very different continents and business categories inquired to resolve a similar video production problem:
Shahzeb, is there a way my team and I can produce corporate video content ourselves. One that looks & feels authentic, done by the people actually involved in the business mission rather than (no disrespect) hired agency shooting videos that look manufactured & choreographed?
And how can we make it almost as good as a professionally done video production?
Studio Mode
Multi-Device Synchronization: ShotCut allows users to sync multiple recording devices, including smartphones and professional cameras, for a cohesive multi-angle shooting experience. By generating a unique shoot code, users can easily connect and control various devices, ensuring seamless synchronization during the shoot.
Live Shoot: The Live Shoot feature generates a code that enables all devices with the ShotCut app to join the shoot. The producer, who initiates the Live Shoot, can accumulate all recordings from different cameras, selecting the best angles for the final cut.
Editor Suite
Comprehensive Editing Tools: The app offers an intuitive editor where users can set the flow, edit audio, modify the film, and render the final video. Users can also switch between different camera feeds to choose the best shots for their project.
Real-Time Collaboration: With the ability to sync and manage multiple devices, ShotCut facilitates real-time collaboration among team members, making it easier to coordinate and produce high-quality videos.
Stage Platform
Content Publishing: ShotCut’s Stage platform is a dedicated space where users can publish their recorded and edited content. This platform not only allows for content sharing but also fosters a community of creators who can showcase their work and engage with a wider audience.
Showreel and Projections: Users can browse through the Showreel, which features regular videos edited by the community, and the Projections section, which highlights special multi-angle videos created using the Live Shoot feature.
